Objective To conduct a thematic analysis of the clinical research on Relinqing, and to provide reference for more clinical research of Relinqing in the future.
Methods CNKI, Wanfang Data, CBM, PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Cochrane databases were searched to obtain clinical researches of Relinqing. VOSviewer 1.6.15 software was used to extract keywords, authors, organizations, and journals, and the clustering network diagram of high-frequency keywords and the density map of high-frequency keywords were generated. Ucient 6 software was used to analyze the combination of drugs used together with Relinqing. Microsoft Visio software was used to draw a mind map of research outcomes.
Results A toal of 180 studies on Reqingqing were included, and they have been published in 118 journals, with the Journal of Clinical Urology having the highest number of publications (n=7). 175 institutions participated in these studies, among which Traditional Chinese Medical Hospital of Huzhou, The Second People’s Hospital of Hengshui and The General Hospital of the People's Liberation Army tied for the institutions with most publications. There were 455 authors contributing to the studies, with the highest individual contribution being five articles. The studies covered 26 diseases, with a predominant focus on urinary tract infections (UTIs). Key outcome measures included clinical efficacy and adverse reactions. Other frequently monitored indicators were symptom improvement time, National Institutes of Health-Chronic Prostatitis Symptom Index (NIH-CPSI) scores, stone clearance rate, etc. Gastrointestinal reactions were the most commonly reported adverse effects. Keyword analysis revealed that Relinqing was frequently co-administered with levofloxacin in studies related to UTIs and prostatitis, while clarithromycin is commonly used with Relinqing in urethritis treatment, and Relinqing's role in promoting stone expulsion following extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) garnered significant attention.
Conclusion The majority of Relinqing studies focus on its use in combination with antibiotics for the treatment of Relin-related diseases, however, the overall quality of research is relatively low. Future studies should establish more scientifically rigorous evaluation standards, clarify adverse reactions and contraindications, and optimize the research methods and data utilization.
