Against the backdrop of the ongoing advancement of curriculum-based ideological and political education in medical education, how to deeply integrate excellent traditional Chinese culture as a resource for ideological and political education into evidence-based dental education and achieve an organic integration of professional education with cultural value guidance is an important issue worthy of exploration. Based on the teaching practice at the Center for Evidence-Based Stomatology, School & Hospital of Stomatology, Wuhan University, this paper focuses on the inherent alignment between evidence-based dental education and traditional Chinese cultural elements such as "extensive learning and diligent inquiry", "prudent reflection and clear discernment" and "unity of knowledge and action", and explores the approach to constructing a traditional culture-based ideological and political teaching resource repository. In addition, it introduces the practical experience of jointly constructing a tripartite teaching framework integrating "culture, ideology, and profession" through measures such as the "1+4" diversified teaching model, a culture-oriented teaching evaluation system, and the development of teachers' ideological and political teaching capabilities. This paper is expected to provide a reference for curriculum-based ideological and political education in evidence-based dentistry and other related specialized medical courses.
