Objective  To explore the effect of loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP) of cervix combined with colposcopy in the treatment of cervical precancerous lesions.

Methods  The clinical data of patients with cervical precancerous lesions who visited the Department of Women's Health, Maternal and Child Care Center of Pingyuan from January to December 2023 were retrospectively collected. According to different treatment regimens, patients were divided into the experimental group and the control group. The experimental group received LEEP combined with colposcopy treatment, and the control group only received LEEP treatment. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared.

Results  A total of 100 patients were included, with 50 patients in each of the experimental group and the control group. The operation time, intraoperative bleeding, width and depth of lesion resection in the experimental group were better than those in the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of postoperative complications in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). The rate of positive resection margins and the follow-up recurrence rate of the experimental group were significantly lower than those of the control group (P<0.05).

Conclusion  LEEP combined with colposcopy in the treatment of cervical precancerous lesions can improve the clinical effects, shorten the operation time, reduce the amount of intraoperative bleeding, and will not increase the incidence of postoperative complications.
