Abstract

Objective  To construct an index system for evaluating the quality of orthopaedic evidence-based research centered on the effectiveness of clinical problem solving.

Methods  Applying the structure-process-outcome theory, the quality evaluation index system of orthopaedic evidence-based research centered on the effectiveness of clinical problem solving was constructed, the weights of the indexes were determined, and the preliminary validation was carried out through the method of literature analysis, the semi-structured interview method, and two rounds of the Delphi method, in combination with the hierarchical analysis method.

Results  Fifteen experts completed two rounds of the Delphi expert consultation, which showed high ratings of expert authority and good coordination of opinions. 4 first-level indicators, 14 second-level indicators, 2 third-level indicators and 5 fourth-level indicators were eventually constructed. The results of the analytic hierarchy process showed an random index (RI) value of 0.882 and a consistend ratio (CR) of 0.006. Preliminary validation showed that the consistency of the reliability was plausible, and the scale design had a high degree of differentiation.

Conclusion  The orthopaedic evidence-based research quality evaluation index system centered on the effectiveness of clinical problem solving can quickly and objectively evaluate orthopaedic evidence-based research, identify and solve orthopaedic clinical problems, and lay the foundation for improving the quality of orthopaedic evidence-based research.
