Sore is the most common suppurative disease in the scope of traditional Chinese medicine surgery. Moxibustion treatment of sores is a typical embodiment of the theory of "moxibustion can be used for heat syndrome" in clinical application. Its records have a long history, and appropriate moxibustion methods are conducive to promoting the dissipation and healing of sores. Through the analysis of relevant ancient literature and modern research, this paper analyzes the theoretical basis of moxibustion in the treatment of sore diseases under the guidance of "moxibustion can be used for heat syndrome", diverting heat out, removing poison, removing phlegm and dispersing fire, producing Yang and long Yin.
