Objective To conduct a visual analysis of the relevant literature in the field of Dai medicine research from 2014 to 2024 based on CiteSpace software, comprehensively summarize and display the status quo, hotspots and development trends of Dai medicine research in the past decade, and provide scientific basis for the in-depth development and international dissemination of Dai medicine research.
Methods The literature related to Dai medicine research was searched and screened in CNKI for bibliometric analysis. The annual number of publications, authors, institutions, keywords and mutation words were analyzed to identify research hotspots and frontiers, and explore new trends and potential breakthrough points of Dai medicine research.
Results From 2014 to 2024, the annual number of publications in Dai medicine research exhibited a fluctuating trend, initially rising and then declining. A total of 274 authors participated in the research, among which Chen Qinghua (n=19) published the most papers. The study involved 246 institutions, mainly including Yunnan University of Chinese Medicine and Xishuangbanna Dai Medical Hospital, indicating the dominant position of Yunnan Province in Dai medicine research. The keywords included ethnomedicine, chemical components, clinical application, research progress, content determination, etc., focusing on topics such as chemical components and pharmacological effects, clinical disease treatment, consensus and development of ethnomedicine, data mining and association rules, and specific theories and applications of Dai medicine. Moreover, Folium Alstoniae Scholaris, Clerodendranthus spicatus, and Zingiber montanum were the emergence keywords of significant drugs in the research.
Conclusion This study revealed the development pattern of Dai medicine research in the past decade through visual analysis based on CiteSpace, and provided a reference for the promotion of traditional medicine worldwide.
