Objective  To visually display the hotspots and frontiers in the research field of hospital archives management in China and abroad.

Methods  CNKI and Web of Science Core Collection were searched by computer to collect relevant research in the field of hospital archives management, and CiteSpace software was used for visual analysis.

Results  A total of 1 171 domestic literatures and 633 foreign literatures were collected. Medical records, archival materials, document materials are the hotspots in the field of domestic hospital archives management. Informatization, public hospitals, big data, and hierarchical diagnosis and treatment are the research frontiers in the field of domestic hospi-tal archives management in China. All kinds of medical information file management systems are hotspots in the field of hospital archives management in abroad, and artificial intelligence is the focus of its current attention.

Conclusion  At present, big data and artificial intelligence technology are being applied to hospital archives management in China and abroad, which will make hospital archives man-agement more efficient and intelligent.
