Objective  To analyze the effect of goal-oriented health threat behavior reversal continuation care intervention on the quality of life of patients with peptic ulcer.

Methods  A total of 86 patients with peptic ulcer admitted to The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from January 2020 to October 2022 were selected as the study subjects, and were divided into control group and observation group by drawing lots, with 43 cases in each group. The control group underwent routine nursing intervention, and the observation group underwent goal-oriented health threat behavior reversal con-tinuation nursing intervention. The negative mood, gut hormone, hope level, quality of life, and nursing compliance of the two groups were compared.

Results  After nursing, the negative mood scores of observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.001), the serum motilin (MTL) and gastrin (GAS) were lower than those in the control group, the somatostatin (SS) and epidermal growth factor (EGF) were higher than those in the control group (P<0.001), and the hope level scores, the quality of life score of the observation group after nursing were higher than those of the control group (P<0.05), and the total nursing compliance rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (95.35% vs. 79.07%, P=0.024).

Conclusion  Goal-oriented health threat behavior reversal continuation nursing can improve the negative mood of patients with peptic ulcer, strengthen their nursing compliance and hope level, which has a certain impact on gut hormone, and is conducive to improving quality of life in patients and strengthening disease outcome.
