Abstract

Combined with the characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) colleges and universities and the goal of cultivating innovative talents, it is imperative to reconstruct the teaching system of the advanced mathematics course for medical and pharmaceutical disciplines oriented toward the "New Medicine" and adapted to the new era of artificial intelligence. One of the key measures is to integrate and infiltrate the contents of mathematical experiments and case modeling into traditional course teaching. The Mathematics and Physics Teaching and Research Office of School of Pharmacy, Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine adheres to the outcome-based education (OBE) concept in its teaching process. Through the construction and optimization of the curriculum system and content, the practical application of "TCM + mathematical modeling" is promoted, the teaching techniques and methods are further enhanced, and a teaching platform for mathematical experiments and case modeling is established, in order to cultivate compound TCM talents that meet future demands.
