Abstract

The formation of chronic wounds is due to the disruption of the normal repair process during wound repair, resulting in delayed or non-healing of the wound. There are many causes that lead to chronic wounds, and the pathogenesis is complex, the course of the disease is long, involving multiple disciplines, and the treatment is difficult. Long term illness often causes serious psychological and physiological disorders for patients, causing economic burden to their families and the society. Therefore, the diagnosis and treatment of chronic wounds are important for improving the patients’ quality of life. This article reviewed the treatment plans for chronic wounds, in order to provide reference for clinical treatment.
